i havent updated here for damn long so beware its gonna be rather long. (:

so lets start from isme shall we? !!HOHO!!! like totally cool! it was a awesome.interesting.trip to kl and i guess our whole ensemble and our dear doc goh n doc tan. and jeremiah and yiwei(my dahling room buddy!) kinda bonded alot more over the few days there tog. amidst the mad n sleepy coach rides. the exploring. feasting. making frens with the singer there. watching midnite movie with great drama. bringing clare's fat lady over to kl with heart attacks.
the traumatising perf, what with stuck+ over enthusiastic piano keys. super dusty piano. pitch-black darkness backstage n all that confusion of trying to find scores.and yet it all turned out surprisingly ok. damn which means i could have enjoyed it more. but oh well it was a great experience to have perf in another ctry! to have been part of such a big event was memorable too...too see like ppl ppl and ppl from all over the world. n watch some of their perf esp the indian ensemble. gosh the lady was like possessed by the music! if only we could have stayed the entire week to attend the talks and workshops n perf. thats just a huge waste u know. sigh. so near and yet so far. all these different cultures in one place. and we had to GO BACK.
i really enjoyed all those many hours e trio and quintet spent rehearsing tog...esp the trio, how we struggled with the absymal rhythms and ens probs, how finally all the pieces in the puzzle seemed to fall nicely in place. all the funny moments we had like boss ng's *eye-cues. sihan's snapping strings n funny sound effects. me being too short to do the pno string gliss. all the laughter.crapping.recording.the trauma.so much more. looking fwd to working tog again dudes. (: it rocked.
n lastly not to forget that totally crazy slumber party we had in which everyone went bogus and laughed ourselves to death and did the funniest things imaginable. from dressing up as snowmen with bathrobes turbans and facemasks, to filming extraordinary pushups done with baby finger vibratos and even just breath power (penguin n sihan did this superbly), and eating cuttlefish by the dozens. truly memorable. (:

then there was mussorgsky pictures at an exhibition yest. which rocked big time too. i really enjoyed every rehearsal. what with the crazy perc section of our school which plays great music and jon fox's squeaky mice. hes a great teacher i realized. funny,bonds well with them, and yet they respect him alot. (: there were lots of funny moments. the chicken dance. the babayaga. n yea. im glad i got to be part of this memorable event too. i loved it! loved the flowers too!

looking back. im really glad so many ppl in my musical life have given me so many precious chances, to be part of all these great music-making experiences. im honoured indeed. and very grateful. ppl like doc. goh. like mrs phua. and clare. so, thankyou a million times.

got to talk to a friend of mine recently. haha this is someone i only get to talk to once a year, during my birthday. thats like the only time in the entire year that he makes his existence known to me. lets just call him my library-note-friend. had a real good talk over a span of 3 diff calls which was pretty interesting too. weird huh! his voice has changed somehow and well he just seemed different. but anw this was a call that really made my day special! (: u know, its surreal to make contact with a friend once a year, furthermore to just hear the voice n not see the face! gosh thats so charlie's angels man!!!

had a super good laugh with my semiquavers today. and all cos of the wonderful mr. tubby n mr. X! girls...im looking fwd to our shirt man..hoho (: and thanks for all the fun the highs and the talks. like..ive kinda missed having girlfrens ard in sch like this for a long time. since smint n fang, n leen.. so im glad i found you guys (:
